The SAP Academy for Sales is divided into two stages:
First, a dynamic 8-month program that builds a strong foundation for a successful sales career at SAP. The Academy Associates experience innovative classroom-style learning delivered by a full-time faculty combined with on-the-job training and mentoring by Senior Account Executives in the field.
Second, after transitioning to the sales role, Academy Graduates continue to strengthen and expand their knowledge and skills through: Sales coaching, ongoing learning focused on sales and operational excellence, career and leadership development, peer-to-peer mentoring and learning.

Through classroom training rotations at SAP's world-class learning center in San Ramon, I learned the fundamentals of sales, including executive-level selling, negotiation, consulting, and project management.
I also gained experience in sales techniques, sales processes, account planning, territory management, and forecasting.
In addition, I was able to gain valuable on-the-job training experiences, such as job shadowing, account management, pipeline creation, and executive mentoring.
The knowledge and skills I acquired through the SAP Sales Academy have been instrumental in shaping my sales expertise and have been a key factor in my success.
As a Sales Public Sector Account Executive at SAP, I was responsible for building business relationships and consulting with clients within the public sector. My focus was on identifying and selling relevant SAP solutions that enabled clients to operate with higher efficiency through digital transformation. This required leading a virtual account team, establishing territory and account strategies, and working relentlessly on demand generation activities.
In this role, I honed my skills in consultative selling, territory management, account planning, demand generation, and virtual team leadership. Additionally, I developed a deep understanding of the public sector, including government agencies and educational institutions, and how to navigate their unique challenges and purchasing processes.
Overall, my time as a Sales Public Sector Account Executive at SAP allowed me to build a strong foundation in sales, develop critical sales skills, and gain valuable experience in selling complex solutions to large organizations.
